Lab Culture

Scientific research is a group effort that thrives from a full participation from all members of society. We in the Gordus Lab believe that encouraging and defending the careers of scientists from minority and marginalized backgrounds is not only our moral obligation, but essential to the future of scientific inquiry. Because of this commitment, the Gordus Lab of past and present is proud to include immigrant, transgender, queer, Black, Jewish, Latino and Asian scientists from around the globe, to name only a few of the diverse identities that make us stronger and sharper as a research group. We stand by our dedication to seeking out and supporting talented researchers of any gender, sexuality, race, religion, nationality, immigration status, physical ability, or class, and take responsibility for our role in shaping our academic institutions to better serve scientists of all backgrounds.
